The current Baltimore County State, Maryland State Attorney is Scott D. Shellenberger. Shellenberger took office on January 2, 2007.

Shellenberger began his legal career at the Baltimore County State Attorney Office working as a law officer while attending Baltimore University Law School. After being accepted into the Bar in 1985, Shellenberger began working as a prosecutor.

Shellenberger is slowly moving through the ranks of the State Attorney's Office. In addition to trying cases, Shellenberger also serves as the supervisor of the Felony Screening, the Criminalization Unit and the Manslaughter Car.

Shellenberger was born and raised in Baltimore County. He is a graduate of Loch Raven High School, Loyola College and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He lives with his wife and daughter in the same County Baltimore neighborhood where he grew up.

Shellenberger will be punished for four years.

The Office is responsible for prosecuting crimes, minor offenses and juvenile cases in Baltimore County [1], Maryland.

The Office currently employs 58 lawyers to handle case loads in the District, Juvenile, and Circuit Courts in Baltimore County, Maryland.
