Brian Joseph Sullivan (December 6, 1966 - December 8, 2014) is an American politician and lawyer.

Washington State Legislature
Sullivan was born at University Place, Washington. From Tacoma, Washington, Sullivan serves in the United States Army and as a judge advocating the generals and a military police officer. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and a law degree from Mississippi College School of Law. He practiced law in Tacoma. He served on the Washington Board of Representatives, as a Democrat, from January 1997 to January 2001.
Alaska
Sullivan moved to Alaska in 2001 while serving in the United States Army. In 2007, Sullivan served on the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska School Board and in 2010, he ran for mayor and lost the election. He then moved to Barrow, Alaska in 2012 and became assistant district attorney. Sullivan was involved with the Republican Party in Alaska and the district seat.

Death
On December 8, 2014, Sullivan was shot and killed in a private residence in Barrow that Alaska police investigated as a murder. Sullivan is 48 years old. On December 26, 2014, Ronald Fischer was indicted by a grand jury of the Alaska state, in Nome, Alaska, with first-degree murder involving Sullivan who saw a woman who had been involved with Fischer before. On October 26, 2017, Fischer was found guilty after a trial of all charges including Murder 1, with a view to causing death. The sentence is scheduled for April 2018. On April 6, 2018, Alaska Superior Court Judge Gregory Miller sentenced Fischer to a five-year prison term for Sullivan's murder.
