Larry Pozner is an American lawyer and writer, and a lecturer. He is a founding partner of the law firm Reilly Pozner LLP and is considered an expert in cross-examination, civil litigation, and criminal defense for high profile cases. He is one of the writers of Cross Examination: Science and Techniques, published by LexisNexis, and used as a text in law school.

Early life and education
Pozner obtained his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado in 1969, and a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1973.

Careers
He started his career as a public defender with the Colorado State Public Defenders Office. He then went to private practice in 1985 and was the founder of the criminal criminal law firm Pozner Hutt Kaplan PC. He then went on to find a law firm based in Denver's Reilly Pozner LLP in 2000, originally by the name of Hoffman Reilly Pozner & Williamson.
Case significant
Insurance and financial case
Pozner represents the Life Insurance Company Annual Variable (VALIC) on behalf of AIG to enforce non-compete agreements with former employees of life insurance companies. The former employee sought to recruit financial advisors employed by VALIC. Pozner is a national advisor to the company and filed temporary restraining orders and orders to protect the company's trade secrets. He is also one of AIG's main lawyers in his objection to the settlement of Bank of America claims arising from the subprime mortgage crisis in the US.
Denver Broncos ownership dispute
Pozner represents Pat Bowlen in a lawsuit filed against him by the previous owner of the Denver Broncos, Edgar Kaiser. Kaiser had previously sold his share of the team to Bowlen in 1984. Kaiser brought a lawsuit against Bowlen after he offered former Brødback quarterback John Elway part of the team. Kaiser was satisfied that he had the first right of refusal under the 1984 agreement and sale, and brought a lawsuit against Bowlen in both state and federal courts. The case continued to the US Circuit Court of Appeals Court 10, which ultimately decided to support Bowlen. Pozner also represented the Broncos during a lawsuit filed against them by two season ticket holders, accusing the Broncos' rent offense with a city that requires them to keep ticket prices less than the league average. The court gave the Broncos summary disposition and dismissed the lawsuit against the team.
Legal comments
Pozner is often asked to comment on high-profile cases in the media. In 2003 he commented on Scott Peterson's trial for Court TV. He also commented on JonBenÃÆ' Â © t Ramsey's murder for a number of publications including U-T San Diego , and The New York Post . Additional comments included Oklahoma City's bombing on NBC, and Kobe Bryant's sexual assault case on NBC and CBS.
Teaching and writing career
He is a piece of written opinion for The New York Times, and The Denver Post. He also served as professor at the Sturm College of Law where he was elected as the Best Professor for 1981-1982.
Cross Check: Science and Engineering
The second edition of his book Cross Examination: Science and Techniques came out on December 2, 2004. The book focuses on cross-examination methods, techniques and principals using the help of lawyers developing a crucial cross-examination skill into successful experiments.
